Compassionate, client-centered therapy grounded in lived experience and professional training.

I have been on my own journey to face and heal from family-of-origin traumas, and how they affected every aspect of my life, particularly as a partner and a parent. It is my fundamental belief that I can't take my clients where I've not been willing to go myself.
I'm not unfamiliar with the grief and loss which come with major life transitions: I experienced a divorce after 29 years of marriage and learned to embrace my new identity as a single woman in her sixties. I was part of a faith system which I shifted away from after nearly 40 years. It was a long process of soul-searching and asking questions I never thought I'd ask.
Through commitment to self-reflection with trustworthy, non-judgmental therapists, I was able to reclaim my authentic self, and learn to love and accept myself as I am—"warts and all." Like all of us, I'm a work in progress, but I'm immensely grateful for how far I've come.

My first experience with therapy was as a client. After my own transformative therapy experience, I returned to school at 57 to pursue a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
I navigated leaving an evangelical church, which ignited my passion for supporting LGBTQIA+ folks and anyone deconstructing faith or navigating major life transitions.
Grief and loss also became a central focus—honoring the non-linear, deeply personal nature of mourning and rebuilding.
I also bring 40 years of experience in church leadership, which gives me unique insight into faith transitions and religious harm—though my practice welcomes clients from all faith backgrounds, not just those leaving Christianity.
I hold a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Colorado. I'm also trained and certified in several specialized areas:
Professional Grief Care through psychotherapist Megan Devine, author of It's OK That You're Not OK
Envision:You LGBTQIA+ Behavioral Health Provider Training
Narrative-Focused Trauma Care
Spiritual Direction and the Art of Spiritual Formation
Neurodivergent-Affirming Care (in training; will complete May 2026)
My therapeutic approach is person-centered, somatic, and grounded in mindfulness. I also draw on parts work, bibliotherapy, and creative interventions tailored to what each client needs.
What that means in practice: I'm not here to fix you. I'm here to help you find your voice, explore your patterns, and move forward with clarity and self-compassion.

I've walked the path of major life transition myself—divorce and starting over later in life, faith shifts, and starting a new career in my sixties. I understand what it's like to question everything you thought you knew and rebuild a new life from the ground up.
That lived experience means I can hold space for your questions without flinching. I won't pathologize your doubt or rush your grief. And I'll never bring an agenda into the room—your journey is yours.
I also bring warmth, humor, and realness. Therapy doesn't have to be sterile or overly formal. Sometimes we laugh. Sometimes I share bits of my own story. You'll always be met with genuineness and care.

I currently live in Longmont, Colorado, with my partner and my doggie, Dweezil who regales me with his antics and makes me laugh every day. (Isn't he adorable?)
In the morning you can find me conquering the New York Times crossword puzzle with a sharp pencil in one hand and a rapidly-cooling mug of coffee in the other. While my true happy place is at the ocean, I am never dissatisfied with the majesty of the Rockies. No matter how busy my day is, I will always pause to marvel at the beauty of freshly-fallen snow in winter or the glory of a Colorado sunset any time of year.
I've worn many "hats" in my life but the most important one has been that of Mama to my two adult kiddos, both of whom are forging their own unique paths in the world. They have given me much encouragement as I've forged my own new path; my love and gratitude for them knows no bounds!
